The Partido Demokratiko Pilipino - Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) on Tuesday bared its initial list of senatorial bets in the upcoming national elections.
The list includes the following:
- House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta
- DICT Secretary Gregorio Honasan
- Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo
- DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade
- DPWH Secretary Mark Villar

In a statement, the latest developments will be part of the agenda at the PDP-Laban national convention on September 8, at the San Jose Del Monte Convention Center, in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
The ruling party also announced that President Rodrigo Duterte has accepted the calls for him to run as vice president for the upcoming polls.
In a statement, PDP-Laban executive vice president and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said Duterte “agreed to make the sacrifice and heed the clamor of the people.”
