More than 300 vehicles were deployed by the Manila City government to assist commuters during the week-long transport strike from the various transportation groups nationwide.
The Manila Public Information Office (PIO) said in a statement that different types of vehicles were deployed for major and secondary roads in the city, having 280 electric tricycles for secondary roads, and 32 buses, pick-ups, and trucks for major thoroughfares.
Moreover the 'Oplan Libreng Sakay' will operate starting 5:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, the free public transport will be plyring the following routes:

-- Espana Blvd. - Welcome Rotonda
-- Abad Santos Ave. - R. Papa Rizal Ave.
-- UN Taft Ave. - R. Papa Rizal Ave.
-- Recto Ave. - SM Sta. Mesa
-- UN Taft Ave. - P. Ocampo St.
-- Monumento Rizal Ave. - Divisoria
-- Buendia Taft Ave. - Divisoria
-- Buendia Taft Ave. - Monumento Rizal Ave.
-- Buendia Taft Ave. - Welcome Rotonda
The said public service assistance is a collaboration of Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau, Manila Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office and Manila Police District.
