The Manila Cathedral will join the celebration of the Feast of Sto. Niño by holding three Masses on Sunday.
As announced through a social media post, the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Intramuros, Manila will have two Masses to be celebrated in the morning and afternoon in honor of the Holy Child Jesus.
Other than Cebu, where the most prominent feast of the Child Jesus is also celebrated in several areas of the nation, including Tondo and Pandacan in Manila, where it is customarily celebrated.
The Cathedral encouraged the followers to pray and light candles for the Sto. Niño de Tondo at the Basilica.
Prior to the holiday, followers of Sto. Niño will participate in the somber foot march and the river parade congregated in Cebu.
Additionally, a river procession was held in Pagadian City in honor of Sto. Niño, also known as Pasasalamat Festival, falls on the same weekend as Cebu City's Sinulog Festival.
