At least 19 people perished during a clash on Wednesday, October 30, between two factions of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in Pagalungan, Maguindanao Del Sur.

Per reports, the infighting stemmed from a land dispute between MILF commanders Alonto Sultan and Ikot Dandua.

Both Sultan and Dandua claim ownership over 300 hectares of rice fields in Brgy. Kilangan.

The conflict led to the deployment of the 90th Infantry Battalion to Brgy. Kilangan in order to help evacuate civilians from the area.
