Mayor Wes Gatchalian also arrived at the location and confirmed that the warehouse is full of foam, various hardware, and LPG tanks.
“The warehouse is not too big naman. In my estimate, this is around 1,000 sqm. Pero ang problema, punong-puno ng laman [sa loob],” he said in an interview.
Apparently in the middle, according to BFP [Bureau of Fire Protection], in the middle portion of this warehouse, talagang may storage ng kalan,” he added.
The warehouse’s second floor eventually collapsed, and although it was raining heavily in the area, they were still unable to put out the fire.

Still, Gatchalian stated that around 40 firetrucks atop the NLEX Harbor Link are still trying to pour water towards the warehouse.
Ang top priority po natin is to evacuate the families,” he emphasized.
“Mag ma-mapping po kami ngayon na may visibility. Our evacuation center is prepared already in Karuhatan West Elementary School Andon na po yung rescue team natin, andon DSWD, [at] nakaready na po kami dito because we are anticipating already na marami pong lilikas sa evacuation center,” he added.

Elaine Baylong-Evangelista explained.
In an update, one of the residents suffered second-degree burns.
