

The Department of Interior and Local Government announced the suspension of classes in all levels and work in the government for tomorrow, July 24. The recommendation of suspension came from the directives of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and Office of the Civil Defense due to the possible effect of Tropical Depression Emong in some areas in Luzon.
In a Facebook post by the DILG today, DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla announced through the agency's Facebook post on Wednesday, the suspension of classes in several areas affected by Tropical Depression Emong.
Below is the list of the areas with suspension of classes and work as declared by the DILG:

In the latter part of the announcement, Remulla noted that essential personnel like responders and emergency services should continue to work as needed.
Remulla then reminded the public to stay safe and not go out unless necessary.
