DILG suspends classes and govt work in several areas due to bad weather

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced the suspension of classes and government work on Monday, September 1, due to unfavorable weather conditions.
The suspension covers the following areas:
- National Capital Region (NCR)
- Albay
- Antique
- Bulacan
- Camarines Norte
- Camarines Sur
- Catanduanes
- Cavite
- Laguna
- Masbate
- Negros Occidental
- Northern Samar
- Occidental Mindoro
- Pampanga
- Quezon
- Rizal
- Sorsogon
According to PAGASA, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) and the Southwest Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in several parts of the country.
As of 3:00 AM, the LPA was estimated at 570 km east-northeast of Virac, Catanduanes, or 695 km east of Daet, Camarines Norte. Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon is affecting the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and the northern portion of Mindanao.
