Several local government units (LGUs) across the country have announced the suspension of classes for Friday, September 5 due to continuous heavy rains brought on by Southwest monsoon or Habagat.

As of 5:30AM, the following areas have declared class suspensions:

METRO MANILA

- Marikina City (all levels, public and private)

- Caloocan City (all levels, public and private)

- Municipality of Pateros (child dev’t centers hanggang senior high school)

- Malabon City (all levels, public and private)

- Las Piñas City (all levels, public and private)

- Parañaque City (all levels, public and private)

- San Juan City (all levels, public and private)

- Pasig City (kinder to senior high school)

CALABARZON

- Cainta, Rizal (all levels, public and private)

CENTRAL LUZON

- Bamban, Tarlac (all levels, public and private)

- Santa Maria, Bulacan (day care to senior high school)

- Hagonoy, Bulacan (kinder to senior high school)

CAR

- Baguio City- (Preschool to Grade 6, public and private)

CAGAYAN VALLEY

- Santiago, Isabela - (all levels, public and private)
