

The Low Pressure Area located inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has developed into a tropical depression named “Jacinto.”
"At 8:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area west of Subic Bay developed into Tropical Depression “JACINTO“. Tropical Cyclone Bulletins will be issued beginning at 11:00 AM today," PAGASA said.
According to DOST-PAGASA, Jacinto is currently located over the West Philippine Sea, packing maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h and gusts of up to 55 km/h, moving west-northwest at 20 km/h.
PAGASA reports that no other low pressure areas are being monitored at this time.
This development comes after PAGASA reported on Wednesday, August 27, that two LPAs were being monitored.
PAGASA announced that Tropical Cyclone Bulletins for Jacinto will begin at 11:00 AM today, providing updates on its movement, intensity, and possible impacts on affected areas.
