LPA inside PAR now a tropical depression “Kiko”

The Low Pressure Area (LPA) located east of Extreme Northern Luzon has developed into tropical depression Kiko, according to PAGASA.
“At 8:00 AM today (03 September), the LPA located east northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon developed into TD Kiko,” PAGASA said in its advisory.
Tropical Depression Kiko was spotted 1,150 km east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon, packing maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h and gusts of up to 70 km/h, moving northwestward at 15 km/h.
The next tropical cyclone bulletin will be issued at 11:00 AM today.
Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon is currently affecting the western sections of Luzon and Visayas.
