As of 8 a.m. today, Tropical Depression #MirasolPH is traversing Northern Luzon, prompting the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) to raise Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 in several provinces.

According to PAGASA, the center of Tropical Depression Mirasol was last spotted near San Agustin, Isabela. The storm carries maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near its center, with gusts reaching up to 90 km/h. It is moving west-northwest at a speed of 25 km/h.

Areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 include:

• Batanes

• Cagayan, including the Babuyan Islands

• Isabela

• Quirino

• Northern and central portions of Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, Dinalungan, Dipaculao, Baler, Maria Aurora, San Luis)

• Apayao

• Abra

• Kalinga

• Mountain Province

• Ifugao, and the northern and eastern parts of Benguet (Bakun, Mankayan, Kabayan, Buguias, Kibungan, Atok, Bokod)

• Nueva Vizcaya

• Ilocos Norte

• Ilocos Sur

Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay updated on weather reports, secure outdoor belongings, and follow safety precautions. Local authorities are on alert to respond to possible flooding and landslides in vulnerable communities.
