The “what hafen vella” trend was first performed at the popular noontime show, “It’s Showtime,” during its “Kalokalike” segment years back. Christopher Diwata, the now-popular Jacob Black impersonator, performed the line, including a snippet of the song “A Thousand Years.”
The clip from his performance recently resurfaced online and immediately cemented its spot as one of the most popular Filipino memes.
Its popularity allowed Diwata to collaborate with various personalities, including Ben&Ben, SB19, and Abi Marquez.
