Is it that sweet? I guess so! After her wildly successful album, “Short n’ Sweet,” last year, Sabrina Carpenter has followed up the smash-hit pop phenomenon with yet another one: “Man’s Best Friend” has debuted at No. 1 and is the biggest female debut of the year!
Short n’ Sweet spent four weeks at No. 1 on Billboard 200 and won a Grammy for best pop vocal album; now, "Man’s Best Friend," Sabrina’s seventh studio album, has propelled her back onto the top spot after pulling in her biggest opening week ever—and the strongest debut for any female artist in 2025—with 366,000 album units sold.
It surpasses Lady Gaga’s 219,000-unit debut for “Mayhem" and even Short n’ Sweet’s 362,000-unit opening.
Man’s Best Friend also broke the record for the most-streamed debut for an album by a woman this year, racking up 184 million streams, as well as the record for most-streamed album in a single day by a female artist this year on Spotify.
The album comes after “Manchild,” released on June 6 (Sabrina’s first single to debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100!), and “Tears,” which premiered on August 29.
On September 5, Sabrina announced through an Instagram post that “Such a Funny Way” was available for digital download, saying she was “so proud” of the song.
