

A cellphone and gadget store along Jose Abad Santos Avenue in Tondo, Manila, was burglarized early Tuesday morning, with suspects stealing an estimated ₱5 million worth of items.
Police have taken into custody two of the seven suspects allegedly involved in the break-in.
The Manila Police District said the robbery was discovered by Sector 2 Tayuman-Almeda patrollers, who saw that the store’s roll-up door partially open and several padlocks scattered on the sidewalk.
Additionally, CCTV cameras inside the store recorded the suspects breaking in and looting various gadgets.
Upon entering and inspecting the establishment, police discovered a backpack left behind containing identification documents belonging to one of the suspects which led to his arrest in Parañaque.
Authorities recovered five stolen iPhones from the suspect, along with the getaway vehicle—a Toktok motorcycle. Another suspect involved in the burglary was also apprehended.
The stolen items included 363 assorted iPhones with an estimated total value of ₱5.15 million. A manhunt is underway for the five remaining suspects still at large.
