

A 15-year-old child in conflict with the law (CICL) escaped from the custody of the Sta. Cruz Police Station in Manila on Tuesday early morning, September 9.
According to the Manila Police District (MPD), the incident occurred at around 2:50 a.m. inside the female restroom of the police station.
In a report by RH Boy Gonzales, the CICL, is a resident of Tondo, Manila, had been placed under police custody for an undisclosed crime.
Initial investigation revealed that Patrolman Harold Perez had escorted the minor to the restroom. However, after several minutes, the CICL failed to come out.
Perez knocked and called out to the minor but received no response. When he forcibly opened the door, he discovered that the CICL had already escaped through the window's restroom.
Police immediately conducted a search operation but failed to locate the minor.
Follow-up operations are ongoing, including a review of CCTV footage to determine the CICL’s whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Patrolman Perez has been placed under restrictive custody pending investigation into the escape of the minor.
