The remains of Jullebee Cabilis Ranara, the overseas Filipina worker (OFW) who was murdered in Kuwait, has been laid to rest on Sunday, February 5 in a cemetery in Las Piñas City.
Ranara was buried at Golden Haven Memorial Park, as seen in the photos shared by the OWWA Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) on their Facebook page.
In a video, the slain OFW's bereaved family were seen getting emotional as her casket was lowered down.
The 35-year-old domestic helper was reportedly found dead in the middle of the desert in Kuwait on January 22.
On January 28, her body was brought back to Manila.
Kuwait authorities have arrested the alleged suspect who turned out to be the 17-year-old son of Ranara's employer.
Following this, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) imposed a preventive suspension on the foreign employer of Ranara while her local agency Catalist International Manpower Services Company and Platinum International Office for Recruitment of Domestic Manpower will be charged with recruitment violation cases.
