A Person With Disability (PWD) died in a fire which razed about 20 houses in Caloocan City.
In a report by RH 5 Val Gonzales, a fire had ignited 4th Avenue, Barangay 118, where a deaf man, 38, was trapped in his home.
The victim had already evacuated the house, but reentered in an attempt to retrieve his valuables and important documents, said Fire Senior Inspector Elyzer Leal, who is the Chief of Operations in the Caloocan Bureau of Fire Protection.
The fire had reached the 2nd alarm and took two hours to extinguish; the fire was successfully put out at around 5 AM, when the man’s body was also recovered.
