According to a report by Boy Gonzales, the fire started at around 3:45 a.m. and quickly spread through the area, prompting authorities to raise the third alarm.
The blaze was declared under control at 5:35 a.m.
The fire spread rapidly as many of the houses were made of light materials, and firefighters faced difficulty containing the flames due to strong winds and the densely packed structures.
Fortunately, residents were able to evacuate their homes before the fire intensified, and no injuries or fatalities were reported.
Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW) Director Jay Reyes dela Fuente promptly responded to the incident, distributing breakfast to displaced families and coordinating immediate relief efforts.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire and assess the extent of the damage.
