

A fire broke out late Sunday night at the Philippine National Police (PNP) General Hospital located in Camp Crame, Quezon City, affecting the hospital’s specialty ward and pre-natal intensive care unit.
According to a report by RH Edniel Parrosa, the fire started around 10:20 p.m. on August 24. Initial investigations suggest that a loud explosion was heard between the two affected departments shortly before the blaze escalated.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Quezon City quickly responded to the emergency. The fire reached first alarm status but was declared under control less than an hour later at approximately 11:19 p.m.
As of this writing, the BFP has not released an official statement regarding the cause of the explosion and subsequent fire.
No casualties have been reported and further investigations are ongoing.
