

An SUV rammed into a university lobby in Caloocan City that injured seven individuals on Thursday afternoon, August 14.
In a report by RH 23 Edwin Duque, a red Mitsubishi Montero Sport with plate number TQK 469 plowed through the Manila Central University (MCU) lobby, with nearly half its body inside before the driver, Manuel Anonuevo, managed to halt the vehicle.
Two children were hit and wounded. They are currently being treated in the hospital.
Meanwhile, one of the injured victims is an employee of the said school.
According to an initial report and the 73-year-old driver’s account, he was supposed to pick someone up when he lost control near the lobby while turning the wheel.
PCOL Joey Goforth, director of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Caloocan City Office, has begun an investigation on the accident.
The driver is now facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property and physical injuries.
Meanwhile, the MCU assured that assistance will be given to the victims of the incident.
