The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday said it has already identified the source of the fake memorandum placing the police force on full alert status due to an alleged destabilization plot in the Armed Force of the Philippines (AFP).
"May mga na-identify na po 'yung ating PNP-ACG (Anti-Cybercrime Group) 'yung mga source nitong mga dokumento," PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo confirmed in a television interview.
[Our PNP-ACG have already identified the source of the documents.]
"I am not at liberty to reveal itong mga initial findings nila but tuloy tuloy yung ating imbestigasyon pati na rin yung mga lumabas na mga papel naunsigned. Yung mga concerned na officers na napangalanan at nakalagay na mga pangalan doon sa dokumento ay pinag-explain," she added.

PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. on Monday ordered an investigation into the possible lapses over the circulation of the memorandum.
Based on the memorandum that was circulated, all PNP units are to be placed on full alert due to "developing issues in Camp Aguinaldo,” "resignation of all personnel in DND (Department of National Defense)” and "destabilization movements from the AFP."
Rumors of destabilization within the troops rose during the turnover of command between new AFP chief Gen. Andres Centino and outgoing chief Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente Bacarro at the military's headquarters at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City over the weekend.
However, AFP units were quick to deny the destabilization plot and rendered their full support to the reappointment of Centino.
