Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has finished his 14-day quarantine after his personal driver succumbs to COVID-19 earlier this month.
Earlier, Sotto said he and his companions were all found negative for COVID-19. However, he still opted to finish the mandatory isolation.
“Nag negative ako sa PCR test nung ika-apat na araw mula exposure, kaya safe yung nakasalamuha ko pa nung March12,” Sotto said in a tweet on Tuesday night.
“Kahit negative, tinapos ko pa rin ang 14days dahil ito ang sabi sa DOH Guidelines. Maaari kasing nag iincubate pa lang ang virus,” he added.
While his quarantine period is over, Sotto said he will still avoid holding face-to-face meetings until April 5 in accordance with the latest protocols imposed by the national government.
Sotto’s driver died on March 15 due to COVID-19.
