Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has accused his expected 2025 election rival, Sarah Discaya, of owning St. Timothy Construction Corp. (STCC), a company tied to the bidding for the automated voting system for the 2025 elections.

Sotto’s claim comes after the Commission on Elections (Comelec) flagged potential conflicts of interest, with reports suggesting that individuals linked to election contractors are running for office.

STCC was a partner of South Korean company Miru Systems, the lone bidder for the P18-billion automated counting machines contract.

STCC was among the joint venture partners of Southern Korean company Miru Systems, the lone bidder for the P18-billion contract to provide automated counting machines (ACM) and other election paraphernalia for the 2025 midterm polls.

"The same people are behind ST GERRARD CONSTRUCTION (SGC) and ST TIMOTHY CONSTRUCTION," Sotto said in a social media post.

"They go around using ST.GERRARD as if it's a political party," he furthered.

Meanwhile, the SGC denied any connection to STCC, calling the claims “entirely false and unfounded.”

Miru Systems confirmed STCC’s withdrawal from the project but assured the public that it will proceed with election preparations through its other partners.
