The local government unit (LGU) of Pasig suspended work for non-essential personnel on Thursday, Nov. 23, due to the fire that occurred in the city hall, Edniel Parrosa reported in MBC Network News.

"Mga kasama, mga non-essential personnel po natin pwede na pong umuwi, suspeneded po ang operations ng city hall hanggang mamayang hapon," Pasig City mayor Vico Sotto said in his announcement right after the fire incident.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Sgt. Inspector Jerry Magalang, the fire that reached the first alarm started at 9:16 a.m. and was declared fired at 10:00 a.m.
The report said the fire allegedly burned part of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) rooms on the third and fourth floors of the city hall.
Authorities' investigation iregarding the cause of the fire is still ongoing.
