The Black Nazarene’s gesture of veneration, often called “Pahalik,” ended hours after Filipino devotees trudged through a long queue to wipe their handkerchief or kiss the Nazareno’s image.

Dadpaas also reported that the stage which housed the Black Nazarene’s image was being taken off following the last batch of devotees.

According to the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene, devotees offer their prayers while hoping to touch, kiss, or wipe their handkerchiefs to the revered image of the Black Nazarene during the “Pahalik” activity.
