Tropical Cyclone ‘Marce’ (international name: Yinxing) intensified into a typhoon, the DOST-PAGASA said.
Their tropical cyclone bulletin issued at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 5, indicated that the center of Typhoon Marce was estimated based on all available data at 590 km East of Baler Aurora. It is currently moving west-northwestward at 30 km/h; with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 150 km/h, and central pressure of 970 hPa.
The weather bureau also noted the following areas that might be affected by Marce:
- Batanes
- Cagayan including Babuyan Islands
- Isabela
- Ilocos Norte
- Apayao
- Abra
- Kalinga
- Mountain Province
- Ifugao
- the northern portion of Nueva Vizcaya (Diadi, Bagabag, Ambaguio, Villaverde, Bayombong, Solano, Quezon, Kasibu)
- the northern portion of Quirino (Diffun, Saguday, Cabarroguis, Aglipay, Maddela)
- the northern portion of Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, Dinalungan)
Additionally, the DOST-PAGASA also said that the highest wind signal that may be hoisted during the occurrence of the typhoon is Wind Signal No. 4.
With that, the northeasterly wind flow will also bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas:
November 5 (Tuesday)
- Ilocos Sur
- Aurora
- Quezon
- Camarines Norte
November 6 (Wednesday)
- Ilocos Region
- Quezon
- Camarines Norte
- Camarines Sur
- Catanduanes
