The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that Typhoon Marce affected over 20,000 individuals across three regions in the country.
According to the latest report from the NDRRMC, Typhoon Marce affected 7,233 families, or approximately 20,000 individuals, in the Ilocos Region, Cagayan, and the Cordillera Administrative Region.
From the total count, approximately 4,000 families, corresponding to over 11,000 people, have sought refuge in evacuation centers.
Due to the typhoon's aftermath, several roads in the Ilocos Region and Cagayan Valley are still impassable to light vehicles, according to reports this morning.
The closed roads include the Anquiray-Abolo steel bridge, Tana-Annabuculan Road, and Goran Bridge.
As the storm moves further away and the weather improving, clearing operations are being carried out.
