The MRT-3 has announced that it will be offering one week of free rides to veterans and one companion each, from April 5 to 11.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, MRT-3 noted that the free rides are being offered in commemoration of the 83rd Araw ng Kagitingan and Philippine Veterans' Week.
To avail of the free ride during the specified dates, veterans only need to present a valid Identification Card from the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) to the security personnel at the stations.
MRT-3 General Manager Michael Capati emphasized that the MRT-3 recognizes the immense sacrifice and contribution of World War II veterans to the country.
Veterans and their companions can ride for free during the entire operation hours of MRT-3, from 4:30 AM to 10:30 PM at North Avenue Station and from 5:05 AM to 11:09 PM at Taft Avenue Station on the mentioned dates.
