A motorcycle rider died while his passenger was injured after colliding with a 10-wheeler truck parked on the side of the road in Barangay Pili, Ajuy, Iloilo, on Wednesday, August 20.

According to Police Lieutenant Rick Adrian Navarro, Deputy Chief of the Ajuy Municipal Police Station, the two friends, identified as Jason and John, were on their way home when the incident occurred.

The investigation revealed that both the rider and the passenger were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

Meanwhile, the truck driver has pledged to provide financial assistance to the victims.
