Most Filipinos will face the new year with hope, according to the latest survey results released by Pulse Asia on Monday, Dec. 19.

In the non-commissioned Ulat ng Bayan survey, at least 92 percent of Filipinos answered that they are hopeful for 2023 while only 0.1 percent said otherwise.

Respondents who expressed that they are hopeful were from Visayas (99%), Mindanao (89%), National Capital Region (94%), and Balance Luzon (89%).

About 8 percent were undecided whether they will face 2023 with hope or not.

In the same survey, respondents were asked what would their family's Christmas celebration be like, and about 52 percent said it would be just the same as last year.

At least 42 percent believed that their Christmas celebration would be “more prosperous” as compared to 2021.

The survey was conducted from Nov. 27 to Dec. 1 with at least 1,200 adults interviewed face-to-face.
