The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) collected nearly 30 tons of garbage following the New Year’s Eve celebrations.
In a report by RH Edniel Parrosa, as of yesterday, the Metropost Waste Clearing Group reported that they had cleared 29.6 tons or 79.92 cubic meters of solid waste across Metro Manila. This is equivalent to almost seven large trucks or 6.63 truckloads of trash left behind from the festivities.
A total of 1,312 garbage bags were filled with collected waste as of January 2.
The MMDA assured the public that they continue to conduct daily clean-up operations to maintain cleanliness on the streets.
