The UniTeam tandem of Ferdinand Marcos Jr., and Davao Mayor Sara Duterte unveiled on Wednesday their senatorial slate for the 2022 polls.
During the Manila Virtual Caravan, Marcos and Duterte revealed their senatorial bets:
- Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada
- Senator Sherwin Gatchalian
- Former Defense Secretary Gibo Teodoro
- Former Palace spokesperson Harry Roque
- Former Public Works Secretary Mark Villar
- Former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista
- Antique Rep. Loren Legarda
The said candidates were also present during the caravan except for Legarda.
The list consists of names previously introduced by Duterte as her personal senate picks back in December, with the exception of Gatchalian.
Estrada is currently running under the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino, while Villar is under the Nacionalista Party.
Gatchalian, Bautista, and Legarda are all running under the Nationalist People's Coalition, while Teodoro and Roque are under the People's Reform Party.
Later, Marcos spokesperson Atty. Vic Rodriguez added three more names in the UniTeam's senatorial slate, including:
- Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri
- House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta
- Lawyer Larry Gadon
Rodriguez said the UniTeam's Senate lineup is a mixture of seasoned and proven personalities who have "excelled in their respective endeavors."
Zubiri is an independent candidate, who was also included in the Senate lineup of Vice President Leni Robredo. Marcoleta is running under the PDP-Laban, while Gadon is under the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan.
