Magnitude 4.8 quake jolts Sarangani, Davao Occidental

An earthquake hit Sarangani Island, Davao Oriental, on Monday, February 26, the Philipppine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.
PHIVOLCS said the tectonic earthquake struck at 06:09 in the morning.
It has a depth of 67 kilometers.
No recorded intensities were reported.

However, the state seismologists said no damage or aftershocks were expected to happen.
It can be recalled that on February 13, a magnitude-4.8 earthquake also occurred in Sarangani.
It was located at 04.85°N, 125.41°E, and 063 km S, 01°W of Balut Island, with a depth of 26 km.
