An earthquake hit Sarangani Island, Davao Oriental, on Monday, February 26, the Philipppine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

PHIVOLCS said the tectonic earthquake struck at 06:09 in the morning.

It has a depth of 67 kilometers.

No recorded intensities were reported.

It can be recalled that on February 13, a magnitude-4.8 earthquake also occurred in Sarangani.

It was located at 04.85°N, 125.41°E, and 063 km S, 01°W of Balut Island, with a depth of 26 km.
