The operations of the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) bound for Recto to Antipolo and vice versa will be suspended from Holy Thursday, April 6 until Easter Sunday, April 9.
"In the observance of the Holy Week, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) is one with the Catholic Church in celebrating their most sacred week they piously observed every year," operator Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said in an advisory posted on Facebook.
LRTA Hernando Cabrera said the four-day suspension would also allow the agency to have "enough time to conduct thorough maintenance on LRT-2 trains, station facilities, and equipment to ensure the system's reliability and safety."
The LRTA also announced that LRT-2 would also shorten its operating schedule at 7:00 pm on Holy Wednesday, April 5.
The railway station's normal operations will resume at 5:00 am, from April 10.
