Owners were shocked to discover that their license plates had been removed and stolen.
According to Armando Villar, a former Barangay 217 kagawad and the current caretaker of the parking lot, he noticed that several vehicles were missing their plates and was later approached by owners who began filing complaints.
Villamor said that the theft probably occurred at around 3 a.m.
Vehicle owners called on authorities to quickly identify and arrest those responsible, expressing concern that their stolen plates might be used for illegal activities.
The Manila Police District Station 7 is now investigating the incident to determine the individuals or group behind the theft.
