In its latest advisory issued at 10:00 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that La Mesa Dam is still overflowing after its water level reached 80.17 meters.
The overflowing water from La Mesa Dam may affect low-lying areas along the Tullahan River, including parts of Quezon City, Malabon, Valenzuela, and Navotas.
Meanwhile, three other dams have opened their gates due to continuous heavy rainfall brought by the southwest monsoon and a low-pressure area (LPA).
According to PAGASA's advisory this morning, Ambuklao and Binga Dams in Benguet have opened three gates each, while Ipo Dam in Bulacan has opened one gate.
Climate authorities advised residents in affected areas, especially those living near rivers, to take appropriate precautions to protect themselves from possible flooding.
