After getting kicked out of the NCAA court, John Amores is back again on the basketball scene with Zamboanga Valientes for the upcoming ASEAN Basketball League Invitational.

The team announced on Thursday, December 8 the contract signing with the former Jose Rizal University (JRU) player, giving him a second chance.

“We at Valientes believe in 2nd chance. He is a good player who made a mistake in which he truly regrets. One mistake does not define who you are," their statement read.

Valientes believes that they can change Amore's ways and that he could be one of their key players for defense and outside shooting.

Amores was suspended and removed from his former team after his punching spree towards their then opponent College of St. Benilde in an NCAA game last November 8.

Zamboanga Valientes will play in the said league in January next year.
