Jodi Sta. Maria is officially a fur mom!
The Kapamilya Actress touched the hearts of many netizens after she adopted a stray cat at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
In an Instagram post on Friday, Jodi shared that she found a homeless cat while she was walking at the arrival ramp of NAIA terminal 4.
"I heard a kitten meowing its heart out as if asking for help and food. Tapos nakita ko siya na nababangga ng cart ng mga pasahero. Lost in space siya sa chaos ng airport. I asked for a plastic bag, nilagay ko siya sa loob tapos nilabas ko yung head nya then isinakay sa van. (catnapper lang ang peg 😆)," she recalled.

The 40-year-old actress named the cat after the airport “NAIA” but it is pronounced as “NA-YA”.
Jodi then took NAIA to a vet where he was cleaned up, dewormed, and received other treatments.
“Naia’s pet record and next appointment at the vet. We were given vitamins too and an anti-parasitic/ antibiotic that has to be administered 2x a day because madaming siyang baon sa tummy,” she shared.
“That’s all for now. Welcome to the family, Naia!” Jodi said.
