Another item was ticked off on Jodi Sta. Maria’s list in attaining her dreams of making mental health accessible in the country.
On Tuesday, January 21, the “Lavender Fields” actress shared through her social media pages that she had just completed her Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) training at the Makati Medical Center’s Mood and Anxiety Resource and Referral Center (MARRC).
“The past two days have been nothing short of transformative, educational and informative. This training wasn’t just about gaining tools to help others heal—it was also a personal awakening. I walk away with a deeper understanding of my own connections,” Jodi captioned her post.
“I’m grateful to the doctors, psychologists, and counselors who generously shared their stories, knowledge, and wisdom during this journey. Your insights made this experience truly unforgettable,” she added.
Jodi thanked the hospital’s MARRC, including the IPT Institute and Dr. Scott Stuart for his expertise and passion. The actress furthered that the experience had been an enriching and humbling one; adding that she will always be carrying it with her.
“Really looking forward to put what I have learned into practice,” she ended.

In early January, Jodi announced that she would take a break from the showbizness, to pursue higher education. She told media outlets that she would enroll in a master’s program in Clinical Psychology at the beginning of 2025.
Meanwhile, Jodi shared an endearing goodbye message to the Kapamilya show, “Lavender Fields” on January 17. As the show wrapped up its taping, the actress reminisced her experiences on set.
“Grateful and bittersweet. As we bid farewell to Lavender Fields, my heart is full of gratitude for this journey—one filled with love, hard work, and unforgettable memories. Pictured here is our very first taping day in the beautiful landscape of Benguet, where this beautiful story began,” she said.
“Thank you to the village who poured their hearts into this masterpiece, to my co-actors who made every taping day fun and exciting, and to all of you who embraced this story with so much love. This may be the end, but the fields we’ve nurtured together will always bloom in our hearts,” she added.
The actress also teased her excitement about an upcoming project “very soon,” adding that fans should “watch out for it.”

Jodi graduated with flying colors in 2021, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Southville International School and Colleges. At the time, the actress took pride in graduating, stating that one is never too old to reach their stars.
