The Broken Marriage Vow lead actress Jodi Sta. Maria triumphed at the recent Asian Academy Creative Awards 2022 by winning ‘Best Actress in the Leading Role’ last December 8 held in Singapore.

The 40-year-old actress attended the event to personally receive the award.

In her speech, the award-winning actress was surprised at winning and thanked everyone behind her success calling the event the ‘highlight of her year.’

“My co-actors and the production team, I would always say that it takes a village to be able to produce a wonderful series and I’m just at a loss for words. But again, thank you because this is the highlight of my year. God, I give you back all the glory and praise, thank you,” Sta. Maria said.

She was seen to be in the next seat with actress Dimples Romana, who was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her series Viral Scandal.

With her famous line “papunta pa lang tayo sa exciting part”, the series The Broken Marriage Vow also received Best Adaptation of an Existing Format, and Best Actor in a Supporting Role for one of its stars, Zaijian Jaranilla.
