Suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo apologized to Senate President Francis "Chiz" Escudero for her released statements regarding the ongoing Senate probe on illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) in the country.
In a letter to the Senate President dated July 20, Alice Guo apologized for her recent statements released on her Facebook accounts that, according to her, resulted in misunderstandings.
Guo mentioned that she doesn't intend to impose or dictate something to the Senate.
Guo also appealed help for her constituents stating that she can't perform her duties following the suspension against her.
Furthermore, the embattled mayor hopes to be given the chance to defend herself in proper forums.
Previously, Guo mentioned that Senators Risa Hontiveros, Sherwin Gatchalian, and other government officias seemed fixated on her.
She then urged the two senators to focus on 'many critical issues' instead.
Escudero didn't like the statement of Guo and reiterated that she is not in a position to dictate to any senator.
