Gilas Pilipinas officially secured its spot in the FIBA Asia Cup 2025, scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia, after an impressive 4-0 performance in the qualifiers.
The qualification was locked in after New Zealand beat Chinese Taipei 81-64 in their match on Monday.
The National Basketball Team extended their unbeaten streak on Sunday, dominating Hong Kong with a 93-54 victory to close out their second window in the tournament.
New Zealand Tall Blacks also advanced after defeating Chinese Taipei, securing a 3-1 record.
As of November 24, following the first and second windows, Gilas ranked second among the top-scoring teams and first in both most assists per game and highest assists-to-turnovers ratio.
In February 2025, Gilas will resume action in the third window of the qualifiers.
