Gener is expected to bring moderate to heavy rainfall with gusty winds to Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Rizal, and Quezon. There is a risk of flash floods and landslides due to the heavy rains. Monsoon rains will also affect Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, and parts of Visayas.

The rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience scattered rains and thunderstorms, with a possibility of flash floods or landslides during heavy rains.

PAGASA also warns of strong to gale-force winds in coastal and upland areas, especially in Batanes, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao. Sea travel is risky for small vessels due to rough waters.

Gener is expected to reach the coastal waters of Ilocos Sur or La Union by the end of the day. It will continue moving over the West Philippine Sea before heading toward southern China.
