Forbes Advisor on Wednesday, July 17, identified Manila as the 5th riskiest city for foreign tourists out of 60 international cities.
Manila, Philippines scored 91.49 out of 100.
The study is based on specific metrics such as crime risk, personal security risk, health security risk, infrastructure risk, and digital security risk.
The nation’s capital ranked 9th in Crime risk, 5th in Personal Security risk, 7th in Health Security risk, 9th in Infrastructure risk, and 12th in Digital Security risk, further solidifying its ranking as one of the riskiest cities for international travelers.
Joining Manila on the list are Caracas in Valenzuela, Karachi in Pakistan, and Yangon in Myanmar. Caracas snatched the top spot due to its notable crime and health security risk.
Karachi came in the second highest spot for having the highest Personal Security risk. Yangon came in third after getting the first rank in Digital Security Risk.
Singapore, Tokyo, and Toronto were ranked as the safest cities for tourists garnering a total score of 0, 10.72, and 13.6 respectively.
