

“Emong” has weakened into a tropical storm and is now passing close to the Babuyan Islands, the PAGASA said in its broadcast.
As of 2:00 PM on Friday, July 25, the PAGASA released its tropical cyclone bulletin, stating that “Emong” has weakened into a tropical storm. The center of tropical storm “Emong” was estimated based on all available data over the coastal waters of Calayan, Cagayan.
“Emong” has maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 115 km/h, and a central pressure of 992 hPa.
It is currently moving north northeastward at 40 km/h.
Moreover, strong to gale-force winds extend outwards up to 300 km from the center.
Tropical cyclone wind signals (TCWS) one and two continue to be in effect in several areas in Luzon.
