10 killed, while 15 injured individuals were reported in Sultan Kudarat after a mini dump truck plunged into a ravine on Wednesday afternoon, August 6.

According to authorities from the Philippine National Police (PNP), the vehicle was traveling to Cotabato City from Barangay Poloy-Poloy in Lebak town after attending a Muslim wedding gathering.

The accident occurred around 5:20 p.m. when the truck reached a curved section of the road in Barangay Christianuevo. Reports indicate that the driver lost control of the steering wheel due to brake failure.

Rescue operations were challenging due to the steep and slippery path leading to the crash site.
