

Six people have been reported dead, five injured, and six still missing due to the combined effects of Tropical Cyclone Crising, the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), and a low pressure area (LPA), according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) in its latest report released Tuesday morning, July 22.
Based on the 6 a.m. report, Northern Mindanao (Region 10) recorded the highest number of reported casualties with three deaths, while one fatality each was recorded in MIMAROPA, Davao Region (Region 11), and Caraga.
Two of the six fatalities have already been validated, while four others are still under verification.
Meanwhile, the number of people affected by the adverse weather has ballooned to over 1,266,322 individuals, or 362,465 families, across various regions, according to the report by RH Edniel Parrosa.
The NDRRMC also reported five injuries and six people missing, with Region 6 and the National Capital Region (NCR) accounting for most of the missing individuals.
Moreover, the estimated cost of damage to infrastructure has climbed to ₱413,020,214.38, which was recorded across Region 1, MIMAROPA, Region 6, Region 10, and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
In addition, a total of 1,501 houses were reported damaged across multiple regions — 348 of which were totally destroyed, while 1,153 sustained partial damage.
A total of 1 municipality in Region 1 — Umingan, Pangasinan has been placed under a State of Calamity due to the impact of the recent weather disturbances.
