

Five people were killed, and nine others were injured after a H100 FB van crashed into a metal fence along the Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEx) in Tarlac City on Tuesday morning, August 12.
According to Lt. Col. Reinier Mercado, the Tarlac City Chief of Police, the driver, identified as John Paul Martin Y. Baptista from Quezon City, lost control of the vehicle while traveling in the expressway, specifically in Barangay Balingcanaway, Tarlac City.
The van was on the way to Cabanatuan City with 13 passengers to sell various products when the incident occurred.
The Philippine Red Cross quickly arrived on the scene to assist and rush the 14 individuals including the driver to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Authorities have classified the incident as a "self-accident," resulting in multiple serious injuries and property damage.
