

A woman in Camarines Sur was allegedly stabbed to death by her live-in partner in Sitio Lourdes, Brgy. Sagrada, Pili, on the eve of July 17.
The victim was identified as Catherine Campa, 27 years old, a resident of Brgy. Himaao in the same town, and a mother.
According to the report from Pili Municipal Police Station, the victim was having a drinking session with her co-workers in Brgy. Sagrada when her live-in partner, Daniel Ortiga, 30 years old, and a resident of the same area, suddenly arrived.
An intense argument ensued between the two, which eventually led to the suspect stabbing the victim.
The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The suspect voluntarily surrendered to the authorities and will face a murder charge. Jealousy is being considered as one of the motives for the crime.
