Netflix Philippines has dropped the official teaser trailer of the Filipino remake of the South Korean comedy-drama film "Keys to the Heart" featuring three great actors of their respective generations — Dolly de Leon, Zanjo Marudo, and Elijah Canlas.
The 1 minute and 42 seconds trailer showed a glance at the "dysfunctional family" of a troubled and washed-up boxer named Joma as portrayed by Zanjo.
After getting kicked out of the boxing arena, Joma stumbled upon his long-lost Mother Sylvia, played by Dolly, who brought him back to their home.
The washed-up boxer was introduced to his younger brother Jayjay, the character played by Elijah, who is suffering from autism.
But despite his disability, Joma's mother described Jayjay as a kind son and a genius and talented pianist.
"Kahit kakaiba iyan, napakabait niyan. Kahit ganyan iyan, pinapakinggan lang niya ng isang beses kaya niyang patugtugin ng plakadong plakado," Sylvia said.
The scenes transition to Joma reconnecting with his brother and mother and learning what it is to be a family.
The Filipino remake of "Keys To The Heart" film is coming to Netflix next Wednesday, October 4.
The original South Korean movie was first premiered in 2018.
The film starred South Korean actors Lee Byung-hun, Youn Yuh-jung, and Park Jeong-min.
